About This Course
Electronic information is a common feature of criminal investigations and proceedings at both the State and Federal levels. That information is used in the commission of crimes and may be the focus of investigations and prosecutions.
The collection and use of electronic information may implicate the warrant requirement of the Fourth Amendment, the Fifth Amendment privilege against self-incrimination, and the Sixth Amendment right of confrontation.
This CLE presentation will provide an overview of these issues and will suggest strategies that might be useful to both prosecutors and defense counsel.
