About This Course
This CLE presentation will discuss how COVID-19 has affected real estate transactions in NY. Specifically, this presentation will cover:
- (I) Issues Facing Parties Already in Contract (i.e. delayed or cancelled appraisals, delayed commitment letters, delayed purchase applications and delayed closings),
- (II) New Negotiation Strategies for Buyers/Sellers Not Yet in Contract (i.e. outside termination dates, funding contingency language, general deadline extension language, no closing if building prohibits move-in, post-closing escrow in lieu of pre-closing walk through and death provisions) and
- (III) Technology Solutions (i.e. Virtual Closings, Virtual Notarizations).
