About This Course
The foundation of any attorney-client relationship is the client. However, it isn’t always obvious to a lay person who your client is. It is imperative for clients to understand who we represent, the subtleties of organizational representation and joint representation, as well as the contours of attorney-client communications and what actions can waive confidentiality.
It is equally important as attorneys to be on guard against inappropriate expansion of who we represent and the scope of representation as circumstances within a matter change and evolve. In this CLE, we will discuss client identification and potential conflicts of interest between attorneys and their clients, as well as best practices for how to avoid these pitfalls.
