Eugene Glicksman
Eugene J. Glicksman has been a full-time husband since 1984, and took on the
added responsibilities of fatherhood in 1989. When not engaged in these pursuits, he is an
attorney who has devoted the major portion of his practice to the field of immigration and
nationality law for over thirty years. His partner in the firm of Glicksman & Cardoso is Patricia
Cardoso, a former General Attorney with the “Legacy” Immigration & Naturalization Service.
Mr. Glicksman has lectured on immigration and nationality law at seminars conducted
by the American Immigration Lawyers Association, the New York County Lawyers' Association
and the World Trade Institute. He has been a guest lecturer to students of immigration and
nationality law at Fordham University School of Law and New York City College (C.U.N.Y.),
and has appeared before industry trade groups and on radio.
Mr. Glicksman received his B.A. from Brooklyn College/CUNY and his J.D. from
Brooklyn Law School. He is admitted to the bars of the State of New York, the United States
District Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York, the Court of Appeals for the
Second Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court. Mr. Glicksman is the Co-Chair of
NYCLA’s Committee on Immigration and Nationality Law since 2007, having previously served
as Chair from 1994 to 1997 and from 2002 to 2006. A member of the New York Chapter of
the American Immigration Lawyers Association, he is the former Chapter Treasurer (1993-
1994) and former Co-Chair of the Vermont Service Center Liaison Committee (1995-1996),
among other positions held. He is also a member of the New York State Bar Association.
Mr. Glicksman is cited in Marquis’ Who’s Who in American Law, Who’s Who in America, and
Who’s Who in the World, and has been awarded a 10.0 “Superb” rating by AVVO.
Prior to becoming an attorney, Mr. Glicksman worked as an Immigration Inspector for
the “Legacy” Immigration & Naturalization Service at John F. Kennedy International Airport
from 1976 to 1980.
Stuart J. Reich
Mr. Reich is a frequent speaker on immigration topics to legal professional
associations, civic groups, and private concerns. He has guest lectured on
immigration issues at New York Law School and Benjamin Cardozo Law School
as well as at various immigration conferences, and he is actively involved in
various immigration organizations and causes. Mr. Reich serves currently as the
Co-Chair of the Advocacy Committee for the New York Chapter of the American
Immigration Lawyers' Association and as Chair of the Department of Labor
Subcommittee of the New York County Law Association's Immigration
Committee.
Mr. Reich is a 1991 graduate of Allegheny College in Meadville, Pennsylvania
and a 1994 graduate of the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law in Cleveland,
Ohio. Admitted in the states of New York, Ohio and Pennsylvania and Federally
to the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio, Mr. Reich is a member
of the American Bar Association and the American Immigration Lawyers
Association. He has been practicing since 1995, having learned under the
guidance of some of the most respected names in the field.
Mr. Reich has assisted individuals from virtually all fields and in a wide array of
situations, with an emphasis on technologists and those working in the sciences
and health fields. Mr. Reich was raised to be aware of the privilege of living in the
U.S. and the hard work that is often required to win that privilege. He brings this
understanding to the practice of immigration law.
Linda Kenepaske
Linda Kenepaske has been practicing immigration law in New York City for more than
20 years.
She handles all types of immigration cases, including family and employment based
immigrant and non-immigrant visas, naturalization matters and removal defense. She
is currently chair of the Immigration and Nationality Law Committee of the Bar of the
City of New York. Ms. Kenepaske is also very active in the American
Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) on both the local and national levels. She
lectures frequently on immigration topics before bar associations.
Anwen Hughes, Esq.
Anwen Hughes Deputy Legal Director (NY) Human Rights First
Anwen Hughes helps oversee Human Rights First's pro bono representation program for indigent asylum seekers. Anwen provides training and support to volunteers from law firms in New York and New Jersey who represent asylum seekers through our program and assists in Human Rights First’s local and national advocacy on asylum issues. She also provides information and legal services to asylum seekers in INS detention, and helps coordinate their legal representation.
Before joining Human Rights First, Anwen was a staff attorney with the Passaic County Legal Aid Society in Paterson, New Jersey, where she represented recipients of public benefits and coordinated legal services for the elderly.
She graduated summa cum laude from Yale University (1993) with a B.A. in Classics, and from Yale Law School (1998).
