About This Course
In this CLE program, learn why none of the 22 participating judges in Exterro's Federal Judges Survey “Completely Agreed" that the typical attorneys appearing before them possess the subject matter knowledge required to effectively counsel clients on e-discovery matters. Three of the judges who participated in the survey will address this and other key survey findings around e-discovery best practices and trends. The judges will also offer advice for preventing, as one respondent stated, “irreversible mistakes," from failing to consider e-discovery requirements early in a matter.
Presenting will be:
- Chief District Judge Joy Conti (W.D. Penn.): Chair of Western District of Pennsylvania's Electronic Discovery Special Masters Program
- Chief Magistrate Judge Frank Maas (S.D.N.Y.): Frequent speaker on e-discovery issues and author of the underlying opinion in Sekisui v. Hart (S.D.N.Y. 2013)
- Magistrate Judge John Facciola (D.D.C.) (Ret.): Member of the Sedona Conference Advisory Board and the Georgetown Advanced E-Discovery Institute Advisory Board
