Icon for Question: What are my compliance and reporting deadlines?

The compliance cycle is from July 1st through June 30th. Rhode Island attorneys must certify their compliance on or before June 30th each year.

Icon for Question: What are the CLE requirements for Rhode Island attorneys?

Rhode Island attorneys are required to take 10 credit hours every year including 2 credit hours of Ethics. The compliance cycle is from July 1st through June 30th. A minimum of 4 credits must be taken via live formats.

Icon for Question: What part of my requirement can I satisfy with you?

Rhode Island attorneys can earn all 10 CLE credit hours including 2 credit hours of Ethics with us using our Online, iOS/Android App, and Live Webinar courses.

Icon for Question: Am I allowed to carry over excess credits taken from one compliance period to the next?
Distance Learning credits taken in excess of 6 hours may not be carried forward from one cycle to the next. Attorneys may carry over 10 live credits into the next reporting period.
Icon for Question: Are there any recent changes to the RI CLE rules?

Beginning July 1, 2025, all Rhode Island attorneys will be required to take 1 credit in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, in addition to the current requirements. This additional credit type requirement will not increase the overall CLE hour requirements.
