About This Course
Estate and financial planning are being transformed by a host of factors including the permanent higher exemptions, the aging population, evolving case law and new perspectives on practice. This CLE presentation explores a range of new planning ideas that can help transform how estate planning is practiced. For example, a new paradigm for gifting is presented which is very different from the traditional perspectives on how clients should gift. Practical legal, financial and drafting considerations are discussed. The myth of the “U” shaped charitable giving curve is debunked along with explanations of what it means in practical terms to practitioners. Domicile is explored from a new legal and planning perspective. More topics are addressed to help practitioners provide new perspectives and services to invigorate their practices.
