Jay L. Taylor, Esq.
Jay L. Taylor, Managing Partner of Taylor Louis LLP, currently represents startup entities and clients in need of structured financial and corporate transactional advice. He also practices in the area of private equity fund formations and does entertainment work for a range of entertainment clients from coast to coast. He has over 25 years of experience drafting and negotiating a variety of complex transactions and matters, including corporate formations, business structures, financial derivatives, and a broad range of highly specialized deals across a variety of areas. Mr. Taylor has traveled the globe instructing business leaders and senior lawyers in corporate issues and financial structures designed to reduce financial and business risk through financial derivatives and a broad range of available risk management tools.
Mr. Taylor has represented a global client base, which include some of the world’s largest companies, hedge funds, investment banks and corporate entities. He has represented a long list of clients in a variety of deals for a global client base in his role as Special Counsel for DLA Piper, one of the world’s largest law firms. Among other things, Mr. Taylor has formed and advised several start-up enterprises, managed multi-national risk management projects for an international bank and one of the world’s largest hedge funds.
Mr. Taylor has a multi-dimensional view of corporate structures and financial transactions. He has represented some of the world’s largest corporate entities, energy and commodity companies, hedge funds and other end-users as lead deal counsel. An understanding of complex corporate and financial issues is vital in today’s more globalized environment, where clients now “require” broad-based experience to scrutinize each deal more closely. That broad experience provides him with a very unique vision in today’s competitive environment.
