About This Course
Designed for both the seasoned land use professional and those who are new to land use practice in New York City, this CLE seminar will review the basics in New York City land use practice as well as very recent developments with emphasis upon applications for grants by the City Planning Commission and City Council. The program will examine the paths to development under the New York City Zoning Resolution, including development by right as well as the utilization of zoning text amendments, zoning map amendments, special permits, authorizations and variances.
The course will examine the ways in which new emphasis on the production of affordable housing and the creation of public realm improvements have shaped New York City land use practice in the last year.
