Daniel J. Persing, Esq.
Over the past 30 years, Daniel has become well-known in the Capital Region as an ardent advocate for the rights of people who have suffered injuries or lost loved ones because the intentional or negligent acts of medical professions, drivers, property owners, businesses, and other parties. As a Partner at Tully Rinckey PLLC, Daniel concentrates his practice on personal injury, medical malpractice, business law, and general litigation.
Daniel has spent his entire legal career – which spans more than three decades – practicing law in the Capital Region. For most of that time he worked as a solo practitioner or name partner at law firms in Albany, where he built thriving medical malpractice and personal injury practices. He has litigated a broad range of medical malpractice claims, including those pertaining to foreign objects left in the body during surgery, failures to diagnose and improperly performed medical procedures. His personal injury litigation experience runs the gamut of cases, including motor vehicle accidents, construction site accidents, slip, trip, fall accidents, building safety, product liability, and wrongful death. Daniel also focuses on civil litigation law and family and matrimonial law.
Early in his legal career, Daniel gained valuable experience in the medical malpractice field by serving as an associate counsel for the New York State Department of Health’s Bureau of Professional Medical Conduct. There he served as the prosecuting attorney for the overseer of physician misconduct. Before that, he served as an associate attorney with the Appellate Division, Third Department, Committee on Professional Standards, where he similarly was a prosecutor for the overseer of attorney misconduct.
Daniel’s firm grasp of medical malpractice and personal injury litigation is reflected in the fact that for the past several years he has taught courses on trial practice at his alma mater, the Albany Law School of Union University.
