Lecturer Bio

Marc S. Mayer, Esq.

Marc Mayer has been an attorney since 1980, practicing in Chicago and the surrounding counties. He learned his trade as an assistant corporation counsel for the City of Chicago and an attorney with the law firm of Zaban, Jacobs and Mayer before working with Michael Marsh in Mayer & Marsh. He has represented individual clients as well as corporate entities as diverse as General Motors, Cigna Insurance Company, and many contractors in the chicagoland area.

Marc received his BA degree from the University of Illinois in 1973 and JD from John Marshall Law School in 1980. He is licensed in Illinois and admitted to practice before the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals, the United States Supreme Court and the Court of Federal Claims.

Marc is also a musician, playing guitar in a rock and roll band that plays out about once a month in the Chicago area. The band’s name is The Out of Storage Band. Marc plays acoustic shows and volunteers at nursing homes to play for the residents.
