John Glicksman, Esq.
John Glicksman has specialized in working, both in legal and in business roles, with
technology industry companies ranging from start-ups to Fortune 100 entities.
He has been outside counsel – and in-house Chief Legal Officer, Chief Compliance
Officer, Chief HR Officer, Board Secretary and Board member -- for publicly-traded and
privately-held e-commerce, video/telecommunications/Internet, and life sciences
companies.
He also has raised capital for, and he has served as a Fund Director for, a venture capital
fund.
Mr. Glicksman has helped businesses during all stages of their lifecycles, including
formation; initial growth and capital raising; regional and national expansion; maturity;
and exit. He repeatedly has built legal and additional company departments from scratch,
and on multiple occasions he has served simultaneously as the only member of two or
more departments.
He has handled equity and debt financings for dozens of early-stage and growth
companies. He also has handled mergers and acquisitions for more mature businesses. He
also has served as one of 3 company officers overseeing a public company restructuring
and sale, and he has served as the sole company officer overseeing a private company
restructuring and sale.
Mr. Glicksman also has significant experience, both as outside counsel and as in-house
counsel, in litigating before federal and state courts and agencies. He has litigated before
the United States Courts of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, the Eleventh Circuit, and the
District of Columbia Circuit.
Mr. Glicksman also has served as an Officer and Director with federal and state trade
associations; as a publicly-elected Councilman; and as an adjunct professor.
