Nicholas G. Himonidis, Esq.
Mr. Himonidis has 30 years of experience in fraud investigations, computer forensics and law. He is currently the President / CEO of The NGH Group, Inc., specializing in complex investigations, digital forensics eDiscovery, cryptocurrency and blockchain forensics, and cyber security.
Mr. Himonidis is an attorney, Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Certified Computer Forensic Specialist (CCFS), Certified Cryptocurrency Forensic Investigator (CCFI) and licensed Private Investigator.
Mr. Himonidis has litigated cases in both state and federal court and has conducted and supervised the investigation of hundreds of cases involving complex financial frauds, computer forensics and electronic discovery issues including civil RICO claims, fraudulent asset transfers, bankruptcy and insurance fraud, embezzlement, and frauds against state and local governments and the U.S. government, as well as numerous high profile matrimonial and custody matters.
He has been qualified in court as an expert witness numerous times in the fields of Computer Forensics and the Authentication of Digital Evidence and has lectured extensively and published numerous articles on various technical, investigative, and legal topics, including accredited CLE and CPE programs on cryptocurrency and blockchain investigations. He has served as an expert witness in cryptocurrency matters in New York and Connecticut and has also been appointed by the Supreme Court in multiple New York counties as both a computer forensic expert and as a cryptocurrency expert.
Mr. Himonidis earned his Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from St. John's University, Cum Laude, and his JD from St. John's University School of Law, Magna Cum Laude, graduating in the top 2% of his class.
Mark DiMichael, CPA -ABV · CFF, CFE, CCFI
Mark DiMichael is a partner in the forensic, litigation, and valuation services department of Citrin Cooperman. His areas of expertise include divorce litigation, economic damages analysis, fraud investigation, cryptocurrency, white collar criminal defense, and business appraisals. Mark has prepared and rebutted expert reports, and has experience working with companies in a wide range of industries.
Prior to joining Citrin Cooperman, Mark performed investigative accounting and business valuations related to matrimonial disputes. Additionally, he has several years of experience in performing financial statement audits for middle market companies.
Currently, Mark is the chairperson of the NYSSCPA Digital Assets Committee, and he is a former chairperson of the NYSSCPA Litigation Services Committee and Consulting Services Oversight Committee.
